This is a lovely community build around a tranquil bay. VIew Royal is geographically central among the communities of Greater Victoria, bordered by Colwood, Langford, Highlands, Saanich and Esquimalt. View Royal is close to Greater Victoria’s urban core. In the small commercial area there are full amenities. View Royal is also home to the Victoria General Hospital, the biggest hospital in Victoria.

  • to Swartz Bay Ferry: 31 km / 40 min;
  • To Victoria International Airport: 26 km / 35 min;

Present population is just over 8,000 residents.

Location:

View Royal is right at the doorstep of Greater Victoria. The Gorge waterway leads from downtown Victoria into Portage Inlet in View Royal.

There are many opportunities for recreation in View Royal:

  • Thetis Lake Park – where you’ll find sandy beaches, as well as an extensive network of hiking trails.
  • Francis/King Regional Park – a beautiful woodland park with tons of trails.
